the distance from the center of an archery target to the outside edge of the target is 24 inches. What is the diameter of the target

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the distance from the center of a circle to the edge is called the radius, and we know that the radius is half the diameter, so 2 * radius = diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would the answer be 48 if the radius is 24 inches. What do we do with pi (3.14). Answer = 48 pi inches?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the only time you use pi is for circumference , its just 48 inches, that is all

thank you
