How many solutions does the following system of equations have? y=5/2x+2 2y=5x+4

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Divide the second equation by 2.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=\frac{ 5 }{ 2 }x+2\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, and you get te same thing as the first equation (btw, nice latex) And that indicates that the equations are multiples of each other, which yields that there are no solutions.
