1. Which of the following would be a reasonable estimate for the weight of a pencil? 1 × 10^-2 lb 1 × 10^20 lb 1 × 10^2 lb 1 × 10^-20 lb

@SolomonZelman @DullJackel09 @freckles @waterineyes @HelpBlahBlahBlah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well calculate all of them you know the second one would be like way to much it comes to over a million so that one is out then if that one out then you know that the last one cant be it because it comes to like negative a million so that leave the first and third the third is 10^2 which is really 10 times 10 so thats like saying the penicil is 100 pounds so what do you think the resonable guess would be?

OpenStudy (wmj259):

B and C are not even imaginable, meaning thats one heavy pencil

OpenStudy (wmj259):

You are left with A and D then.

OpenStudy (wmj259):

If we convert each to decimal notation A=.1 lb D=.0000000000000000001 lb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if u put it that way it's D

OpenStudy (wmj259):

D would be to small.
