How did the constitution help fix problems with the articles of confederation?

OpenStudy (ccswims):

Well it helped in many ways, but the biggest is that since the Articles of Confederation gave wayy too much power to the states, the Constitution sort of cut back on those powers and gave some more to the central government. This helped with with allowing the government to create taxes so the U.S could pay debt, and it also gave the power of making money which before only states could do, which caused money to basically be useless since all states had their own type of currency.
