What impact did the French Revolution have on the rest of Europe? Other European countries became more liberal. Other European countries became more conservative. Other European countries declared war on France. Other European countries lost tourist dollars.

Kings and Queens and Popes and every government which claimed power based on hereditary rights took notice when the British in America broke with their king in England. But that was colonies. Not their own countries. When the French people took the ideas of liberty as a cause to revolt, it scared the other monarchies of Europe into action. They had to attack France and get the idea of overthrowing a king out of people's minds. They attacked France and wanted to put the king back on the throne. Their very existence demanded it.
