so first  5 g +9 = 2g +15 
okay ?
as given in the question statement 
now 
5g-2g =15 -9 
3g =6 
g =6/3
g=2 
okay 
now put g=2 in the above equation(5g +9 = 2g +15)  
5(2) +9 = 2(2) +15
10 +9 =4 +15 
19 = 19 
so it is showing that value is same on both sides so it is correct
