a train travels from the bottom of a hill to the top of a hill, its moves slower by the time it reaches the top is an example of positive acceleration velocity negative acceleration speed
Acceleration, in physics, is the rate at which the velocity of an object changes over time. \(\sf \large \color{red}{Positive~Acceleration}\) Positive acceleration is when the acceleration of an object speeds up, like dropping something off a skyscraper. Every second that object is falling, it will get faster. \(\sf \large \color{red}{Velocity}\) Velocity is the rate of change of the position of an object \(\sf \large \color{red}{Negative~Acceleration}\) Negative Acceleration is when the acceleration of an object slows down, like throwing something in the air. It will get slower going up, and then it will stop, that is the negative acceleration, and then the object will come back down, and will speed up, which is positive acceleration. \(\sf \large \color{red}{Speed}\) Speed is the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate.
