sammixboo (sammixboo):

For some reason, highlighting words on OpenStudy hasn't been working for me lately. I have been able to highlight words on other websites but OpenStudy. It just won't let me. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

I tried refreshing the page, and it still doesn't work. I've restarted my computer. Same results.

OpenStudy (uri):

Google Chrome?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Have you tried doing the samewith some other browser ?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Sorry for not replying! Doing some late night school work since I can't sleep. I have tried on only Chrome, because m computer is a Chromebook and won't let me download any other browser or anything else except pictures and some files.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Everytime I try to download anything, such as a program for my school work, it will say there is no file to support the download. It does that to downloading anything else such as Internet Explorer

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yeah got it....hv used chromebook.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I also use to hv this highlighting problem with chrome, but with firefox or safari it seems to be fine. Back then i use to refresh/reload the page to correct it

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Oooh weird. I wish refreshing would work with me, because when I do some LaTeX it get's hard without copying and pasting!

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ok try this, double click on any word. Does it gets copied ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

i mean does it gets highlighted ?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yeah it does, but it always highlights the whole page, and not just the word/phrase I want

OpenStudy (abhisar):

did you click on a single word ?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yeppers

OpenStudy (abhisar):

oopers !

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Ahaha :D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ok, try this click once on a word and then press shift+left arrow.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Okay hold on a sec

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Whoa, that just made my cursor go away, but I double clicked a word, which highlighted the whole page, then I clicked the left arrow and it highlighted that one word

OpenStudy (abhisar):

:O

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Eureka !

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Hmm weird. Now I am going to end up playing around with this

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yeppers !

sammixboo (sammixboo):
