How are photosynthesis and cellular respiration related? Answer the processes are not related: photosynthesis occurs in plants and cellular respiration occurs in animals photosynthesis and cellular respiration are part of the same electron transport chain cellular respiration produces ATP, which is used to power the steps of photosynthesis the sugars produced in photosynthesis are broken down in cellular respiration

Plants both photosynthesize and respire. During Photosynthesis they take in sunlight energy and Store it in the glucose molecules. During cellular respiration they take that Stored energy from the glucose molecules, break it down into ATP and use it for actions like active transport (eg. in the roots).
That said, while photosynthesis is exclusive for plants and some' microorganisms only, Respi ration occurs in every single living organism. Also oxygen and glucose produced during photosynthesis is used in respiration.
