GIVING OUT MEDALS! Are all equal four sided shapes parallelograms no matter what the angles are? It might seem like an obvious question, but I just want to make sure...so please help!

@Mendicant_Bias

OpenStudy (mendicant_bias):

When you say equal, you mean the side length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I am basically asking if all rhombuses are parallelograms.

OpenStudy (mendicant_bias):

Alright, then the answer should be yes; Any rectangle is a special case of a parallelogram, in the same way that a circle is a special case of an ellipse, a sphere is a special case of an ellipsoid, a square is a special case of a rectangle, and a cube is a special case of a right-rectangular prism.

OpenStudy (mendicant_bias):

This "special case" thing is common for other kinds of objects (as mentioned above) in general. So yup. All rhombuses are parallelograms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh alright thanks!
