well, it kinda depends on what topic it is, just anything? cuz then you could do something that is widely known, like trying to stop people from cutting down trees in your area, or stopping people from littering. those are the first things i think of. anything else in that category, like pollution, animal hunting, stuff like that. :) hope that helps!

Well, definitely something you know lots about and have a passion for. If its something you're not interested in, it'll be hard to defend your case and persuade your audience. You might wanna ask yourself stuff like:
What do I really like?
What controversial terms are there that I know a lot about?
If you have prior knowledge on a certain topic, you can persuade and write a more effective essay.
