The length of a rectangle is 5 more than 3 times its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 58 inches. What is the length of the rectangle?

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

the length is 23 and the width is 6...hope it helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let width be x then length will be 3x + 5 \[area = length * width\] \[area = (3x+5) * x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a little late for that but thanks anyway.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
