During science class, students were instructed to develop a dichotomous key in order to classify organisms into one of the six kingdoms of life. Ms. King, their teacher, provided them with this diagram. According to the diagram, the BEST way to separate all living things into two main groups would be to consider A) method of reproduction. B) consumer versus producer. C) cell type, prokaryotic versus eukaryotic. D) organization, unicellular versus multicellular.

A dichotomous key is a tool that allows the user to determine the identity of items in the natural world, such as trees, wildflowers, mammals, reptiles, rocks, and fish. Keys consist of a series of choices that lead the user to the correct name of a given item. Here is a good example:
It kind of looks like a pedigree chart to me. Idk, anyways, I would go with D because so many living this are unicellular and so many others are multicellular. It just makes more sense to me.
Does this help? I hope I didn't just confuse you further or anything...
@Rainbow_dashie Are you there?
Secret ninja... remember to be secret!!
Eh... Okay.... *puts finger over lips* Shhhhhh! Its a secret....
Can I be a secret ninja too?
Ok i'm back
@Secret-Ninja so its c
No.... I said D.... Unicellular and multicellular... Again, Its a guess, it just makes most sense to me.
ok @BioEpic do u agree
If you become a secret ninja, then who will be the new Znappy doo? Someone must be assigned to the position! @ZnappyDooZ
Eddie’s assignment is to prepare a dichotomous key for several objects. His first task was to arrange the objects. The objects are a lightening bug, a butterfly, a ladybug, an ant and a canary. What should each question in the dichotomous key accomplish? A) It should arrange the organisms by phylum. Eliminate B) It should divide the objects into two groups. C) It should predict the offspring of the objects. D) It should give the clues to the organism’s name.
?? are '
and ignore Eiminate
shouldnt it be b
If he chose B, then Eddie would have to divide them from insect and bird, because they are all insects instead of the canary. If he chose D, he would have to be very specific with what questions he were to ask. C doesn't make much sense to me, personally, and A kind of seems right to me. I am not 100% sure, but maybe A?
I don't know, I haven't learned this since a looong time ago, and am kind of forgetful. Honestly, I could be completely wrong..
Hmmm. Maybe a because it sounds more explanatory.
Phylum wouldn't be a good idea now that I think of it. Phylums are for plants, and are very broad and general at times. even if it did say Divisions, which is for animals, It would still be too road. I just think that A and C can't be it.
* would still be too *broad** Sorry, typo.
Just choose between B and D, you have a 50% chance of getting it right, anyhow.
Thank you!
