OpenStudy (sicklefirebolt):

What is the total number of ATP produced from carbs, proteins, and fats? What are the products and reactants of Calvin Cycle and Krebs cycle? Pyruvates can only be used when what is present? And what is the most commonly broken down molecule to make ATP?

no idea:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ATP usually breaks down to carbohydrates.

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

What is the total number of ATP produced from carbs, proteins, and fats? You know, I learned about this, but I forgot. I really only know what ATP is and how it is used in cellular respiration. What are the products and reactants of Calvin Cycle and Krebs cycle? Krebs Cycle: http://www.austincc.edu/emeyerth/krebs.htm So...The Krebs Cycle is one of the stages of Cellular Respiration. This stage occurs when oxygen is present. The first thing that happens is that the 3 carbon pyruvate molecule is broken down into a 2 carbon molecule, which I think is carbon dioxide. The 3rd carbon that was removed from the pyruvate gets released as CO2. As the Krebs cycle goes through, the molecules continue to be broken down and more carbon dioxide (CO2) is released until there is no carbon left. This process releases ATP and causes energy rich NADH and FADH2 molecules to be sent to I think the Electron Transport Chain. The process occurs in the cell's mitochondria. Calvin Cycle: http://www.bio.umass.edu/biology/conn.river/calvin.html And what is the most commonly broken down molecule to make ATP? I think it would be carbohydrates.
