How do different results occur when adding or multiplying rational and irrational numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's no example. It's just a question

Why will it differ?? See given any irrational number or a non terminating number, we approximate the value upto require significant figures. Suppose you take 3.14 for pi and someone takes 3.14159 for pi, after multiplication or addition with any other number, both your results will vary. However if you take both the numbers rational and terminating, then the result will be same
