74834 x 3

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you can check it using https://www.desmos.com/calculator

3 units left 4 units down SHIFTED FROM ln(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes, desmos would be reasonable. Unless you want a logical reasoning behind your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain: Has to be greater than 3, because if x=<3, then ln(x) is undefined. Any number from 3 (but not including 3, is the domain, including infinity) It is concave up, (based on the graph) And f '(x)=1/(x+3) f ''(x)= -1/x^2+6x+9 and as x-> -infinity, the f''(x) is about a zero, as x-> -3, it is zero (inflection point or something happening. in this case undefined) but the greater x, from -inf to 0 the more increasing the f ''(x) and thus f(x) is concave up there... I won't do the entire observation though, you can tell that it is logical to be the graph of ln(x+3)-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by the way (-inf , 0) it is increasing (the slope I mean) not the concavity.

sorry for confusing you....
