Help with quadratic functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone tell me how to find the average rate of change for f(x) from x = 4 to x = 7? Here's the equation: \[f(x) = 2(x − 11)2 + 4 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x) = 2(x -11)2 + 4 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\sf \Large avg. rate= \frac{f(7)-f(4)}{7-4}\)

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

F(4) = -84 and F(7) = 48...idk where to go from there

@data_LG2 So the average rate is 3?

Can you explain how you did this?
