Trigonometry 26 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the maximum number of turns for the graph of: f(x)= -4x^4-3x^3+5x-27? It is 3, correct? Because if f(x)=x+1, it is linear. x^2 would have one curve near the vertex. Assuming this holds true, there would be one less curve than the leading coefficient, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 is correct because of the more simple reason that the degree is 4 and \(4-1=3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Metalisnotsatanic, you're correct but it's not to do with the coefficient which, in this case, is -4. It's the degree of the polynomial which is 4.

Okay, thanks again.
