WILL MEDAL AND FAN! Geometry: Find the values of x and y.
Since angle DAB=angle DAC, the line AD intersects BC...so ADC and ADB=90 degrees. x=90degrees. Angle C and angle B are equal so angle B=47 degrees. Since a triangles angles = 180 degrees, you can find the last angle by subtracting 90 and 45 from 180. sigh, geometry is so hard to explain with words.
Okay so I am definitely confused now.
Ok, what part are you confused about?
Whoops, i put you can find the last angle by subtracting 90 and 45 from 180. It's 47, not 45.
Whats the formula? How do I begin from there?
Your formula is going to be 180=47+90+x. x is the angle you're looking for. angle BAD
Okay . Hold on.
Where did you get 90 from?
90 is the angle x. I guess the better formula is 180=90+47+y
That where I am confused... because I have no 90
Side AC and AB are the same length. you can tell because they both have one dash. Angle A at the top has a line right down the middle|dw:1415331345541:dw|This shows that the line AD splits the triangles in half which makes two 90 degree angles.|dw:1415331596168:dw|
Gosh, I love you!!!! Thank you!!
Haha, no problem. Geometry is tough to explain without pictures.
Wait so the value of y is 43? @wrstlr3232
Yep.
