sin t - 1 = cos t - cot t ------ ---------- cos t cos t . cot t taking RHS => cos t - cos t ----- sin t ------------ cos t . cos t ---- sin t => taking LCM for numerator , we get => cos t . sin t -cos t ---------------- sin t ------------------------ cos t . cos t ---------- sin t => cancel sin t with sin t , we get cos t . sin t -cos t ------------------------ cos t . cos t => taking cos t common in numerator cos t ( sin t - 1 ) ----------------- cos t . cot t => cancelling cos t with cost t => we get sin t - 1 -------- == LHS cot t hence proved......... :-)
