PLEASE HELP MEH!!!! I CAN"T FIGURE THIS ONE OUT!!!!! Steven recorded the growth of a plant over 10 wk for his science project. He made a graph that shows how much the plant grew each week. The plant was 2 in. tall when Steven started his project. At week 5, the plant was 8 in. tall. Complete the equation that represents Steven’s situation. y=_____ x+_____

@KiaKat Can you help?

OpenStudy (kiakat):

okay so you're going to have to plot this as points on a coordinate plane

OpenStudy (kiakat):

you're already give the coordinates for the two points you need to make a line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the screen it gives a positive line... I think that the equation may be y=1.2x+2

OpenStudy (kiakat):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (kiakat):

how'd you get 1/2 for the slope??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not 1/2 its 1.2...... I got that by counting the rise=6 and the run=5 then dividing 6/5=1.2....

OpenStudy (kiakat):

oH, pfft yeah. but you put it in slope form, so it stays as a fraction

OpenStudy (kiakat):

so that was correct. it's 6/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh... Okay so it'd be y=6/5x+2?

OpenStudy (kiakat):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

OpenStudy (kiakat):

haha, you're welcome!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But 1.2 was the correct answer..... But still Thank you bunches!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one was the answer? 1.2 or 6/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@foxyNinja @KiaKat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I got 1.25 as slope....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@edennoyes It was 1.2
