Please I need help: Why are senatorial elections staggered every four years?
Senatorial elections are staggered every four years because if they are there more than four years they might start thinking they are better than everyone else and maybe turn into tyranny?
that is true but I don't think that's the answer I need, but thanks anyway.
no problem!
There are 40 senators. Each senator serves terms of four years. They are limited to a maximum of two terms. Like the U.S. Senate, elections are staggered so half of the State Senate is up for election every two years. They are also elected by popular vote.
maybe that can help?^
that's okay thanks a lot.
