so angle R = angle N
so -7x + 9 = -10x can you solve for x from there? :)

No, that's why I need help. I stink at Geometry so much that I'm failing for the 4th time.

-7x + 9 = -10x first add 10x to both sides
+10x +10x
and get 3x + 9 = 0 then subtract 9 from both sides
-9 -9
3x = -9 then divide both sides by 3
/3 /3
x = -9/3 = ? do you see how I got all that?
