Examples: Mario José Molina studied Earth’s ozone layer and how it protects Earth from the sun’s radiation. They discovered that some man-made compounds used in aerosol cans were depleting the ozone layer. (He had help with a friend.)

Juan Ramón Jiménez was best known as a poet., Jiménez published many books of verse over 50 productive years. His work Platero y yo (1917) became very popular in Spain, Latin America, and even los Estados Unido.
