The vice president does not really have a role in our government. The president is the key person     in time he is in the White House. Remember the vice president does not pass or veto laws, meet with the head of other countries and many other jobs.He is simply a symbol sort of like the president`s sidekick. If a president died wouldn`t the vice president take over? Hope this helps :)
