Solve using the addition method. What is the x-value of the solution to the system? 2x - 3y = -1 3x + 4y = 24

Multiply both sides of the first equation by 4. Multiply both sides of the second equation by 3. Add both equations to each other and the y terms will subtract out leaving one equation in x.
