MEDAL AND FAN!!!! A jar contains 0.75 liter of blackberry juice and 0.60 liter of blueberry juice. Patrick poured 0.25 liter of guava juice into the jar. He then drank 0.20 liter of the mixture. Part A: Write an expression to represent the total amount of juice left in the jar. Part B: Identify which property is used in each step to simplify the expression. Please helppp!! :)
PLEASE HELP!!!! I will fan and medal :)
Initially we have blackberry and blueberry juices of 0,75L and 0.60L respectively. i.e, we have (0.75+0.60)L of juice. Since Patrick pored 0.25 L of guava juice, we have then {(0.75+0.60)+0.25}L of juice. Then he drank 0.20 L of mixture . Hence finally we have {(0.75+0.60)+0.25}- 0.20 L of juice (0.75+0.60+0.25-0.20)L=1.4L of juice
@geny55
So whats the answer for part A and B?
{(0.75+0.60)+0.25}- 0.20
Part A
ok now can we do Part b?
Yeah Part B is to simplify, you apply BODMAS rule
Is that the property you used to simplify?
yeah BODMAS rule, first we do calculations within the brackets.
ok and then thats it?
Yes you just add and subtract to get the final result. The rule used here is BODMAS rule
Awesome! You were such a great help! Can you help me with more questions please?
ok first post the question.
ok thanks so much!!! :)
So can you write part B out please
