OpenStudy (anonymous):

P.S: Just answers would be totally cool too.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

I can't read what it says on there. Everything is a bit blurred for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok hang on @sammixboo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What can you not read @sammixboo ?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

All the words on there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to find the surface area of those shapes

OpenStudy (bibby):

we can barely see the numbers

sammixboo (sammixboo):

There we go, Bibs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @bibby

sammixboo (sammixboo):

\(\rm \Large \color{red}{Surface~Area~of~a~Rectangular~Prism}\) SA = 2(wl + hl + hw) SA = 2(\(\rm \color{red}{4*9}\) + \(\rm \color{red}{11*9}\) + \(\rm \color{red}{11*4}\)) First do all the multiplication in the parenthesis, then you add all the products together. Once you add them together, you multiply the sum by \(\rm \color{red}{2}\) \(\Large \rm \color{red}{Surface~Area~of~a~Cylinder}\) SA = 2 * 3.14 * rh + 2 * 3.14 * \(\rm \color{rd}{r^2}\) SA = 2 * 3.14 * 7.5 * 15 + 2 * 3.14 * \(\rm 7.5^2\) First do the exponent \(\rm 7.5^2\) 7.5 * 7.5 = 56.25 Now plug in 56.25 where \(\rm 7.5^2\) was SA = 2 * 3.14 * 7.5 * 15 + 2 * 3.14 * 56.25 Do all the multiplication left to right first, then the addition. \(\Large \rm \color{red}{Surface~Area~of~a~Cone~with~Slant~Height}\) SA = 3.14 * rl + 3.14 * \(\rm r^2\) (l = slant height) SA = 3.14 * 15 * 34 + 3.14 * \(\rm 15^2\) Like above. Do the exponents first. \(\rm 15^2\) 15 * 15 = 225 Now plug in 225 where \(\rm 15^2\) was. SA = 3.14 * 15 * 34 + 3.14 * 225 First do the multiplication, left to right, and then the addition. \(\Large \rm \color{red}{Surface~Area~of~a~Square~Pyramid~with~Slant~Height}\) I don't know the formula to this, sorry.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Whew that took forever ahahaha

OpenStudy (bibby):

brb recruiting people to medal that glorious answer

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Oh please

sammixboo (sammixboo):

My fingers hurt p_q

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Whoa hehe I am 94 SS Also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry just got back, thanks @sammixboo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first one i got 3472, is that right @sammixboo

OpenStudy (bibby):

order of operations. multiply each term, then add, then multiply by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I did.

OpenStudy (bibby):

= 2(4∗9 + 11∗9 + 11∗4) = 2(36+99+44) = 2(179)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (bibby):

ignore the first line. the last 2 are what matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

358 is the first one?

OpenStudy (bibby):

yeah. just follow her instructions. she's lined everything out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Second one I got 1059.75

OpenStudy (bibby):

is that the pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sphere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Below the first one

OpenStudy (bibby):

there are no spheres in your picture. there's a cylinder under the rectangular prism
