So I start at the coordinate axis at the point \((-3,4)\) and I wanna end up at \((0,1)\). Now, normally, if I were to optimize my path and minimize the distance I travelled, then I had just travelled in a straight line. Unfortunately, on my way, I have to meet my friend before I reach my final destination. My friend agrees to meet me at any point on the \(x\)-axis. So, to minimize the distance I travel, where exactly on the \(x\)-axis would I want my friend to be?
