OpenStudy (lieutenantgeneral):

3a - 4 > 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the problem is \[3a-4\ge5\], correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we need to solve for a

OpenStudy (lieutenantgeneral):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, I wasn't sure how to write down the greater than or equal to sign. Sorry if its confusing :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so first, going backwards in the order of opperations, we see if we can add or subtract to get a by itsself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and we can, add 4 to both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then devide both sides by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then u are done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So once you divide by both sides your done right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would be my answer?
