if g(x) is a vertical translation 5 units down of f(x)=3x+4, what is the rule of g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in f(x)=3x+4, 4 is the y intercept right? so this is the vertical part. Now g(x) has a verticle translation of 5 units down. so we would subtract 4 by 6 units down which is -1. so the rule of g(x) would be y= 3x-1

*4 by 5 units.. my bad
