Round to the whole number of 14.42

Because it says round to the whole number, you are rounding to the "one's place" So, you look to the number just to the right of the one's place, which in this case is 4. Ask yourself: Is it less than five? If so, you keep your current whole number. If it's 5 or above, you would add 1 to the one's place.
