Hey, could there be an option to pick between the titles (if you have all of them) or even turn them off altogether. Thanks

sammixboo (sammixboo):

This would be something pretty nice to have! I know some people who don't want the titles to show next to their usernames, but still want the trophy on their profile

Nnesha (nnesha):

if there is anyway where if the user who have all title and they don't want that so they can "donate" to other user :P :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, sure!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha that may lead to false practices. making of noob acc's and a lot more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nice idea. :) Voted..

OpenStudy (igreen):

I want this..I want the titles but I want all the Green one's to show up :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are any one you moderators? If you are, I have a link that needs your help!

OpenStudy (abb0t):

I am. How may I be of assistance? @Jennaluv

OpenStudy (preetha):

I am open to restructuring titles. I need to understand what you are looking for. If you have the time send me a nice email to contact@openstudy.com.

Nnesha (nnesha):

@ashsek well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was jk :) :)

OpenStudy (compassionate):

You could suggest this in Preetha's upcoming talk.

thomaster (thomaster):

@preetha the main thing is that users cannot switch between different titles. I have the tier 2 title in biology but if I'd unlock the tier 1 title I would get the green one next to my name, without being able to go back to the blue blue one. Also titles cannot be switched off.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I like the idea...

OpenStudy (greencat):

It's a pointless idea even tho it makes sense. Web guys might as well focus on the glitches instead.

OpenStudy (greencat):

@thomaster brought up a good problem.

OpenStudy (kainui):

@GreenCat Titles are essentially pointless just like medals. They're just there to be a little fun extra to play around with.

OpenStudy (greencat):

i agree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sure "web guys" can focus on multiple things, I don't know why many people think if you do one thing you can't do another. This could be a just as high of priority for some people as the glitches are, but I do agree, at the end of the day the titles are useless as well as the medals.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@iambatman Psycologically speaking, gamification is not useless.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

agreed to @e.mccormick , game mechanics creates a competitive environment and encourages users to answer more and more questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant it was useless in a sense as it actually doesn't mean anything, I know it's all for fun and all.

OpenStudy (greencat):

^ ^ (T_T) Is it a cat, owl, or bat?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The Smart Score does not have any financial value, that I will grant, but it does create a metric to show growth. It can be used to help show how you have progressed, so it does have worth. The gamification does help get people interested. The goal being to make studying more interesting. Now, this does not eliminate abuses, like people that want to cheat on a test or have someone else do their work, but it does have non financial values.

OpenStudy (greencat):

the SS was originally meant to be a measure of how helpful you are so that it could be used for a resume. Unfortunately, it has it's flaws, but it would be great to use for a resume.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fan me @iambatman

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Fan me @Opcode

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

lol All these Fan me!!

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

@pooja195

OpenStudy (greencat):

O_o ... I guess I'll go with the flow... "Fan me @iambatman !"

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Before Batman, Kainui, and Abhi were mods. The good old days. :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And better days that followed after they were mods (not to get me wrong =P )
