I am trying to write a 4 page essay on the Shakespeare play Hamlet. I am focusing on the character Ophelia. What im really having trouble with is coming up with a thesis statement I like. Ive been trying to come up with the structure and order of my essay. I think it would be a good idea to bring 3 main points into the thesis statement about Ophelia…. That I can then focus on in 3 separate paragraphs… I just don’t know what they should be. lol please help me if you can... i would be so very grateful if someone helped me out some. Please. Im just stuck and ive been stuck for a while.

I just read this ! ( my super librarian title comes to the rescue again ) if you are focusing on Ophelia, and you need about three main points about her, why don't you focus on what she does best ? do you know what those are ?

i know thats a lot of scrabble. the three things for the thesis statement are..... #1) how ophelia is controlled by her father and brother. #2) (just something with hamlet and ophelia) (their relationship....) #3) and i dont know what the third would be

i could just forget this 3 things in thesis statement... but i know my teacher likes it. but thats where im stuck...i dont know what the third is

and yes... i know. i know. this is supposed to be very simple. im making it much harder than its supposed to be.

and thank you for your response... :-) haha ive never done this before!!

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

okay...i'm trying to make sense of all of this myself. and thanks ! i really love Shakespeare's works more than any other c: okay ! perhaps you could do as the third what Ophelia thinks of herself. is that an okay thing to do ? i'm not very familiar with your assignments' style.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm.... that may be good

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

alright ! and i'm pretty sure you could use examples from the text. i've read the book in a weird way, so i'm not sure exactly of the acts and scenes.

i just needed someone who knew about the story of hamlet.... but i think that will work. i will try using that one.

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

oh, alright ! thanks c:
