Put the numbers in order from least to greatest. 1.5 x 104, 2.6 x 10^-2, 3.5 x 102, 6.2 x 10^-1

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Got disconnected sorry.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you can see that the second number is moved 2 decimal places to the left, and it will be 0.062, but once it is in hundredths we know it is the smallest number. the forth number is second to smallest, because decimal place is moved once, and thus you get 0.62 ( some tenths) then the fight is between 1st and rd number (for which one is greater). You can tell that 104 and 102 are slightly the same, but you multiply the first one times 1.5 and the second 3.5 times, so the logic gives us that the 1st number is only second to greatest, and the 3rd number is the greatest one.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I hope I can appeal to your logic:)

thanks
