Writing an essay but I'm just not sure how to start it. Any ideas? Prompt is below
Based on your research, identify and analyze a human rights issue in your novel and show how it relates to real-life issues and affects people within the United States and one other country. My book was \(\it Of~Mice~and~Men\) and I chose racism as the human rights issue
first start beginning then start middle para then end your essay
i know that but i am really bad at just getting the first sentence of the first paragraph
on which topic you want to write?
i put the prompt above
and other topics?
what do you mean?

do u still need a beginning or no ...
yes she does
yes i just need 1 sentence to get started
@SolomonZelman
Well you can start off your Intro by asking a question. That always catches the reader's attention.
is this your question sleepyjess ?
Here is an example of an intro I wrote a looong time ago starting with a sentence. You would expect a camping trip to be a trip of laughter, s'mores, family bonding time, and adventure, right? Well I thought wrong. My camping trip took the other road with bears, screams, and terror. Not so fun, at all. Here's my story.
It isn't a very strong intro, but I just wanted to give you an example
hold on @sleepyjess i have some notes
@SneliS i need your help when you get the chance
so @sleepyjess u need help wit the introduction?
here is something to help you: Begin with an attention grabber. The attention grabber you use is up to you, but here are some ideas: ... If the attention grabber was only a sentence or two, add one or two more sentences that will lead the reader from your opening to your thesis statement. Finish the paragraph with your thesis statement.
:) hope it helps
I still need help please
