cot θ ∙ sec θ = csc θ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's correct. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you verify the identity ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not hard. You can do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, \(cot\theta\) and \(sec\theta\) are equal to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As you know, \(cot \theta= \frac{cos\theta}{sin\theta}\) and \(sec\theta=\frac{1}{cos\theta}\). Therefore, \(\frac{cos\theta}{sin\theta} \times \frac{1}{cos\theta} = \frac{1}{sin\theta}=csc\theta\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh thanks :)
