HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!! ANSWER PLEASE!!!!!!!! I WILL GIVE YOU A METAL AND A FAN!!!!!!!!!! Which determines the chemical properties of minerals? A. type of atoms B. cleavage C. crystal shape D. luster
A.
C... you can buy that.. its the arrangement of atoms...
Are you saying that the shape determines chemical properties in compounds? @harishk
yep.. its... the crystal structure.. actually...
I do understand your point but feel the question is a little open ended, for example, a cubic crystal of Halite will react differently than a cubic crystal of Boracite.
halite (rock salt - NaCl) Boracite - Mg3B7O13Cl noticed any difference.... it is not the crystal structure that only demands the rate of reaction or way of reaction... let me explain... option A.. types of atoms:: which means the minerals with different types of atoms.. that gives u different molecules and different compounds.. like halite and boracite..makes no scence and ofcourse they will exhibit different chemical reactions...and posses different chemical properties Option B... Cleavage - The tendency of a mineral to break along flat planar surfaces as determined by the structure of its crystal lattice. No need to explain... Option D... Luster:: i don't wanna talk about it.. get it already...!!!
I truly believe you have missed the point of the question, but I shall agree to disagree, you obviously have some understanding of the subject.
Explain..... I am listening...
