A skydiver prepares to jump out of a plane. Explain how gravity and air resistance will affect the motion of the skydiver before and after he or she opens the parachute.

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

I has to be 4 sentences :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Due to the force of gravity, the skydiver will accelerate downwards. As the speed increases, the air resistance also increases, which will counter the force of gravity. If the air resistance is large enough to fight against the force of gravity, the forces will be balanced and then the skydiver is said to reached the terminal velocity

dang -.- wait let me , fix it properly then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Due to the force of gravity, the skydiver will accelerate downwards. As the speed increases, the air resistance also increases. The air resistance will, then, encounter the force of gravity. If the air resistance is large enough to fight against the force of gravity, the forces will be balanced and therefore, the skydiver will reach the terminal velocity.
