what is a good way to start writing a reflection on a short story?

Depends on what kind of story. But just keep in mind, writing a reflection means giving your overall opinion (thats not the right word lol) on what you read. Reflection means interpreting and analyzing the text. So you might wanna ask yourself: What did I read? What was the author trying to say? What is the theme? What did I understand? What did I learn? Hope this helps :)
