Think deeply about something you're feeling. It could be the way you feel about another person, yourself, something you're against or support. Really anything to do with feeling. You'll probably hear that from anyone you ask. You could look at some songs you like and think about what they mean, and use the feeling from that.

i suck at poetry but look at real artists, not the ones in like mainstream kind of music. Those tend to have real lyrics and you'll kind of get of feel on how to put down your feelings into nicely composed songs.
