3 questions? Will fan and give medal! attached below

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

OpenStudy (nikato):

Remember y2 - y1 -------- =. Slope x2 -x1

OpenStudy (nikato):

Where you have 2 points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

I don't understand @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

What don't you understand? That is the slope formula.

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

oh oh, I didn't see your first comment @nikato

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

I don't know what the answer is ? @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok. I'll just do the first one as an example for you then

OpenStudy (nikato):

So you have 2 point (2,-5) and (-1,-1) Plug into the formula. -1 - (-5). 4 ---------- =. ------ -1 - 2. -3 So slope is -4/3 Can ou try the other 2 on your own?

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

I tried 4 and I got -7/1 which isn't right @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

Can you show me your work? And I can see where you went wrong

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

1-8 = -7 --------- 3-2=1

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

I tried following the steps you put @nikato

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

i think i found where i went wrong

OpenStudy (nikato):

No. You plug in the wrong numbers. (x1,y1)= (2,8) And (x2,y2)= (1,3)

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

it's -5/1

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

and i think 5 is 1/11

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

@nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

Close for 4. You might have messed up on your signs. It should be 5

OpenStudy (nightmarenight):

Oh, for #4 it's just 5? That makes sense @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

And 5 is correct
