Can someone draw me a picture here? I have a question that is asking: Which of the following types of organisms are prokaryotes? I actually want to try this one out on my own, so I won't supply options, however, can someone give me an easy, accurate definition of what a prokaryote is? I tried to understand it by reading definitions online, but they seem so complex.

@Conqueror @Compassionate @KatieJ1998

OpenStudy (micahm):

so what do you need drawn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't really need a literal picture, just an easy, accurate definition of the word. I was using "a picture" as more of a figure of speech here, but I really would like to understand what a prokaryote is, since it's mentioned everywhere in Science.

OpenStudy (fortheloveofwolves):

ill give you what a prokaryote is NOT. a prokaryote is NOT an animal or plant cell. it is a single celled organism...and i believe that is also what bacteria is but im not one hundred percent sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@fortheloveofwolves Thanks! I actually understand what's being asked now. I'm going to give it a shot!

OpenStudy (fortheloveofwolves):

Thanks to you too, @micahm
