Fans & Medals!! =D What is the y-intercept of the line? y=6x-4 y-intercept =
y=mx+b is the general form for a linear equation
y intercept is where x=0 because on a graph|dw:1415724442626:dw|
=/? explain?
what doesnt make sense? the linear equation, or the intercept?
incerpt
first off for an explination what math are you in? do you understand functions?
yes
so y is a function of x, where if you input an x value it gives you a y. for y=mx+b, m in a linear equation is the slope. x is the input of x values. and b is the y intercept. this can be proven for yours becaus eif you input, 0 for x. that means the function is at origin if you y intercept was 0
while the y intercept is the value at which the function crosses the y axis, the vertical one.
Im going to ask a question so tag me so i can come back to help further.
