What are some good concluding words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"And they all lived happily ever after. The end." No seriously, good concluding words for what in particular?

If you're wondering on how to conclude an essay, story, or any other piece of literature, then take these tips: non-fictional writing (essays, speeches, expository, persuasive, etc): Restate your thesis Restate your main points Try using words like: In brief, In summary, To Conclude, In a nutshell, To summarize, In the end, etc. Heres a helpful link: https://www.msu.edu/user/jdowell/135/transw.html#anchor1704933 For fictional pieces (narratives): If you're ending on a cliff hanger, I suggest you resolve all previous problems, and present the unresolved problem, phrasing it in a way so that the reader knows there will be more soon. If you're going to be a nice author, and not leave your kind readers hanging, then I suggest you resolve all problems, and narrate the main characters reflection or thoughts on the events that have happened. Hope this helps!
