PRETTY PLEASE....HELP ME. (:

What is the theme or meaning of the short story "Was It a Dream?" In one to two paragraphs, explain your answer. Be sure to use examples from the story to support your ideas.

I did this a while back. I think it was about how she was trying to cheat on him. He was dedicated to her and she got a sickness and died. He eventually knew why she would go out and ect. So it could be about how love is tricky.

Theme: Somethings should stay hidden then revealed I believe the theme of this story is that truth is sometimes better left unsaid[or "truth kills"]. Like in this story, the guy loved this woman and thought she had loved him back. He would have never thought that she would go out and try to deceive him. He would have lived happier, if he thought that she was still faithfully clinging and loving him silently even in death. Yet he was very oblivious and curious to know the truth of why she had died, and that truth eventually killed him.
