SCIENTIFIC METHOD!!! Need to design an experiment, With the scientific method... It needs a purpose, research, Hypothesis, Experiment, analysis and conclution, anyone one want to help out a young lad?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ooooooohhhhh, that sounds fun!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SCIENCE yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, and you dont really have to do the experiment...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay let me list a few ideas, give me a minute

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey paula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey Ant :) Oh and Country I found something good for you: http://www.education.com/science-fair/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They have 2,000 science project ideas for you to do :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woah, lol thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol sure XD I love science projects

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the medal!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need anything else to help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a minute and ill let you know!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me out on putting this into other words so i dont get written up for plagiarism? http://www.education.com/science-fair/article/chewing-gum-help-concentration/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PaulaLovesSchool13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But....isn't that cheating? D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can help you research though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hypothesis: What guess do you have about chewing gum? Will it make you concentrate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am so not good at the method lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. This is just guessing. It doesn't have to be right or wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Type your hypothesis in your own worse and using details

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am sorry...words*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that chewing gum can help someone concentrate, because instead of being focused on everything else in the room you can be focused on chewing the gum, and whatever you are trying to do. Is this good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hypothesis: I think that chewing gum can help someone concentrate, because instead of being focused on everything else in the room you can be focused on chewing the gum, and whatever you are trying to do. I love it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! (: lol thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure do you need help with the next step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, what would I put for my purpose and research? i dont really understand those 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well first you have to do the experiment. Go grab some gum :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, It says i cant do my experiment... in the lesson.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>_> Well that is not fair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ikrr, i want some gum thoo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol go grab some, you need to think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am going to grab a dictionary, brb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I am back: Define purpose: the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. So you need to write how gum is a good purpose when you are learning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, sorry, i just got back on here.. And ikr give me gum, and would what i said in my hypothesis be good, and just take it out of my hypo... "because instead of being focused on everything else in the room you can be focused on chewing the gum, and whatever you are trying to do. "

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PaulaLovesSchool13 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whoops sorry, and yeah I have to agree with you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now we have to research by finding out if gum can help us. Use books and the internet to help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright!.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey someone said this, "My 5 year old son has a sever speech delay and his teachers assistant has been using chewing gum to help him pay attention to what they are doing in his pull out speech sessions. Since she started giving him gum Soren sits still and pays attention, he also doesn't get bored as fast. So I think teachers need to look at that one again, as long as it ends up in the garbage and not under the seats....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh Thats reall nice!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would be for part of the research right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PaulaLovesSchool13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need the Independent, controlled and dependent variables

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And what is that exactly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dunno how to explain it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o_o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Researched it. E

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly, what do I measure when chewing gum....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dunno... 0.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do they want the speed when we chew gum o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhaha, i dunn think so...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PaulaLovesSchool13 Would the type of gum be the independent or the dependent variable? or controlled?
