A alot of Americans first democratic veiws were based on how the Greeks empire held their own demoncracy.
Examples is how they choose representatives per area and had a large assembly of every freee man be allowed to present a voice.
This would later go in that every man who was free, or owned land was able to vote (articles of confederation). And then again in the Constitution were every man who was over 18 can vote.
