The pyramid has the same base as the prism, and its height is 3 times the height of the prism. What is the ratio of the volume of the pyramid to the volume of the prism? a.volume of pyramid/volume of prism=1/9 b.volume of pyramid/volume of prism=1 c.volume of pyramid/volume of prism=3 d.volume of pyramid/volume of prism=2/3

what you think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't fluttering know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the formulae for volumes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

v=bxh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is for prism or pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let h be the height of prism so ATQ, height of pyramid = 3h put this in the formule The volume of a pyramid = base x height x (1/3) The volume of a prism = base x height and find their ratio so simple you will get the answer as 1
