OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen you have been a really good help can you keep helping me :)

OpenStudy (igreen):

What's your answer?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, you got it.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(6 \times 2 = 12\) \(4 \times 3 = 12\)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, you got it.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(5 \dfrac{9}{20} = 5+(0.45) = 5.45\)

OpenStudy (radar):

You're on a roll.

OpenStudy (igreen):

It says she eats ___ cups a day..you left something out.

OpenStudy (radar):

I would of chosen B. Because she wouldn't of had a cup on day 9 or 10 or 11 or 12.

OpenStudy (igreen):

No, I don't think so..

OpenStudy (igreen):

Wait, no I think that's right. \(8 \div \dfrac{2}{3} \rightarrow \dfrac{8}{1} \times \dfrac{3}{2} \rightarrow \dfrac{8 \times 3}{1 \times 2} \rightarrow \dfrac{24}{2} \rightarrow 12\)

OpenStudy (igreen):

@radar

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep.

OpenStudy (igreen):

You multiply. \(3 \dfrac{1}{2} \times 2 \dfrac{1}{3}\) Change them into improper fractions: \(\dfrac{7}{2} \times \dfrac{7}{3}\) Multiply: \(\dfrac{7}{2} \times \dfrac{7}{3}\rightarrow \dfrac{7 \times 7}{2 \times 3} \rightarrow \dfrac{49}{6} \rightarrow 8 \dfrac{1}{16}\) You got it!

OpenStudy (radar):

iGreen shows the proper method

OpenStudy (igreen):

??

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, nevermind.

OpenStudy (igreen):

I thought you said 'show the proper method'.

OpenStudy (radar):

No, I messed up, you were correct. Don't know what I was thinking lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Thought B but not positive @iGreen @radar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen @radar did you solve it yet am iright or wrong

OpenStudy (radar):

I chose to look at only the 1 4/5 location as only one of the choices had it. 1 4/5 is also 1.8, and there is only one line that has a point at 1.8, that means the other 4 can't be totally correct. B does not have a point on 1 4/5

OpenStudy (radar):

Any comment @iGreen?

OpenStudy (igreen):

B and D are the only one's with 1 4/5..

OpenStudy (igreen):

B has all of them..

OpenStudy (igreen):

You're right. @starrhazel123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen so it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen so the number line is B

OpenStudy (igreen):

1 4/5 = 1.8 7/5 = 1.4 and we have 1.3

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, it's B.

OpenStudy (igreen):

See? 1 4/5 = 1.8 7/5 = 1.4 We have 1.3 1.3, 1.4, and 1.8 are all on Option B's number line.

OpenStudy (radar):

Look closer, note there are 10 divisions between 1 and 2, B has the point located at 1.7

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, wait 1.8 isn't on it..xD

OpenStudy (igreen):

Sorry, my bad.

OpenStudy (radar):

I am seeing spots before my eyes lol

OpenStudy (igreen):

Right..and C has its one 1 over to the right..

OpenStudy (igreen):

So what's your answer gonna be? @starrhazel123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C

OpenStudy (radar):

Smart choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is D correct @iGreen @radar

OpenStudy (igreen):

27/5 = 5.4 we have 5.36 5 3/5 = 5.6 33/6 = 5.5 Now can you order them from least to greatest? @starrhazel123

OpenStudy (igreen):

D is incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I can @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Okay, what's your answer going to be then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait let me...................Double check @iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K is B correct @iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

No, it isn't..

OpenStudy (igreen):

33/6 is 5.5 27/5 is 5.4 33/6 isn't less than 27/5

OpenStudy (radar):

Have a good day, I need to go to the Senior centers for a meal.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Bye-bye.

OpenStudy (radar):

Bye all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So my sister said A was wrong I thought C and my Older sister said B and I thought she was right I thought she wasn't . @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

A is right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uggh sometimes I think she does that on purpouse

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, I'm sorry..

OpenStudy (igreen):

The answer IS B..my bad.

OpenStudy (igreen):

*facepalm*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 7 3/4inches and a width of 4 1/3 inches? @iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I said C am I correct @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Perimeter of a rectangle is \(2l + 2w\) So: \(P = 2(7 \dfrac{3}{4}) + 2(4 \dfrac{1}{3})\) Multiply: \(P = 15 \dfrac{1}{2} + 8 \dfrac{2}{3}\) Can you add those fractions? @starrhazel123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I can @iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24 1/6 Is that right @iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it is D. 24 1/6 @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, you got it.
